International Translation Day – 30 September 2018

The Spanish Language Division (SPD) of the American Translators Association joins in the celebration of translators and interpreters around the world on this 2018 International Translation Day!

In celebration of the International Translation Day, we asked leaders of the SPD to tell us why they love being translators and interpreters.

Why do you love translation/interpreting?

Thank you, ATA SPD member, for your dedication, contributions, and commitment in the advancement of the translation and interpreting fields!

“International Translation Day is celebrated every year on 30 September on the feast of St. Jerome. FIT decides on a theme for each year and invites all of its member associations to join it in celebrating the day around the theme” (FIT 2018).
