CALL FOR NOMINATIONS: 2021 ATA HONORS AND AWARDS

In 2020, ATA established six awards to recognize volunteers who have demonstrated exceptional leadership while serving the translation and interpreting industry and the association. Three of the new awards will be given in even-numbered years. Three will be given in odd-numbered years.

Why ATA Awards?

By recognizing individuals and organizations for their contributions, ATA not only salutes their efforts to advance the professions but also raises awareness of the substantial impact volunteers can have when they step up to support their colleagues.

Make a Nomination!

Award recipients must be ATA members, and only ATA members may make nominations. Both individuals and organizations are eligible for nomination. Self-nominations are welcome. Nominations must be submitted by May 31. Winners will be announced during ATA’s 62nd Annual Conference (October 27-30) in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

  • The ATA Dynamo Award recognizes a person or entity that has worked in a particularly energetic way to benefit ATA and/or the language professions.
  • The ATA Mentoring Award recognizes a person or entity that has provided outstanding mentoring to the next generation of translators and interpreters, either through the ATA Mentoring Program or another channel.
  • The ATA Rising Star Award recognizes an early-career translator, interpreter, or entity that has already “made a mark” on ATA and is seen as having great potential to positively impact ATA and the language professions in the future.

Submission Deadline: May 31, 2021
