Muchas culturas, un solo idioma International Folk Costume and Gifts

By popular demand, the Spanish Language Division (SPD) is bringing back the opportunity to display our unique heritage and culture by raffling traditional folk items during the Annual Dinner at Fogo de Chao.

For newcomers, what is this raffle? These are small, inexpensive, and easy-to-transport gifts that you donate to be part of the raffle at the dinner. They represent your country, state or culture, or items related to our profession.

Need ideas? In the past we’ve had spices from the Caribbean, coffee from Colombia, Peruvian alfajores, dulce de leche and mate from Argentina, California wines, CDs of folk music, and interesting books about your country, or from a local writer, and more. Gifts must be new, in good taste, inexpensive, and travel-safe.

What else do you need to know? This is voluntary. You participate in the raffle if you are at the dinner, regardless of whether you donate an item or not!

Do you want to dress up?

Whether it’s a poncho, a sombrero, a pollera, or the whole outfit, you are more than welcome to come dressed in the traditional clothing that best represents your culture and country!
